Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (35-55)

PCL ALL-STARS 6, INT ALL-STARS 3 (Box)

The PCL All-Stars defeated the International League All-Stars 6-4 in Tacoma last night. Sole 51 representative Amed Rosario led off for the PCL and went 0-4, but did contribute a stolen base.

Double A - Binghamton Rumble Ponies (46-38)

EAS EAST ALL-STARS 7, EAS WEST ALL-STARS 1 (Box)

Corey Oswalt got the starting nod for the East All-Stars last night. Oswald threw a spotless first inning, striking out Slade Heathcott to kick off the game. Luis Guillorme was hitless out of the leadoff spot in three tries, and Tomas Nido started behind the plate and went 0-1. P.J. Conlon did not see game action, while Kevin Taylor was named to the team but is currently on the disabled list. The East took the game with a seven-run sixth inning.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (5-13/38-48)

POSTPONED (RAIN)

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (7-12/47-40)

GREENSBORO 4, COLUMBIA 1 (Box)

The Colaflies’ homestand got off to a rough start, as the offense went 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position, wasting several chances in their 4-1 defeat to the Grasshoppers. Greensboro jumped out to a quick lead in the top of the first against Harol Gonzalez, and never looked back. The loss was Columbia’s seventh in their last nine games.

TRANSACTION ALERT: Columbia Fireflies sent C Natanael Ramos on a rehab assignment to GCL Mets.

Short-A - Brooklyn Cyclones (6-16)

MAHONING VALLEY 5, BROOKLYN 4 / 10 INNINGS (Box)

The Cyclones snatched defeat from the jaws of victory Wednesday, frittering away an early 4-0 lead to the Scrappers. Brooklyn’s bats went silent after putting up two runs in each of the second and third innings, as they wouldn’t record another hit until the ninth inning. By that time, Mahoning Valley had cut the lead to 4-2, and promptly tied it in the ninth inning. The Cyclones wasted a leadoff Franklin Correa triple in the top of the 10th, then watched the Scrappers walk it off on a Jason Rodriguez double.

Rookie - Kingsport Mets (7-11)

PULASKI 5, KINGSPORT 4 (Box)

Starter Ezequiel Zabaleta struggled early against Pulaski. After the offense staked him to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first courtesy of a Jeremy Vasquez RBI double, Zabaleta surrendered two walks followed by a three-run jack to the first three batters he faced, and the Mets never quite recovered. Solo home runs by Vazquez and Anthony Dirocie in the top of the sixth cut the Yankee lead to 5-4, but the Pulaski bullpen held the fort the rest of the way.

Rookie - GCL Mets (5-8)

GCL METS 1, NATIONALS 1 / 1 INNING (SUSPENDED)

They got in one inning before rain caused the suspension of this GCL game. Completion of the game is scheduled for 7/17.

TRANSACTION ALERT: LHP Yom Felipe assigned to DSL Mets1 from GCL Mets.
