Triple-A: Las Vegas 51s (36-59)

FRESNO 22, LAS VEGAS 8 (BOX)

In a ludicrous game even by PCL standards, Las Vegas got smashed in a 22-8 loss to Fresno. Ricky Knapp took the loss, allowing a stupendous twelve earned runs on thirteen hits (four home runs) in 4.2 innings. The bullpen wasn’t much better, as Jio Mier was the only pitcher to not allow more than one run. Gavin Cecchini had a four-hit day playing short—with Amed Rosario at third for some reason—and Travis Taijeron had two doubles and a home run.

Double-A: Binghamton Mets (50-38)

POSTPONED (RAIN)

Advanced-A: St. Lucie Mets (9-15 / 33-35)

ST. LUCIE 7, FORT MYERS 3 (BOX)

St. Lucie rallied from three runs down, scoring four runs in the sixth to earn a 7-3 win over the Miracle. Jhoan Urena had a homer, a double, and a stolen base, finishing a triple short of the cycle. Tim Tebow also continued to hit well, going 3-for-5 with a double. The potent middle of the order was enough to overcome three errors by J.C. Rodriguez, who now has 23 on the season.

Low-A: Columbia Fireflies (9-14 / 40-28)

COLUMBIA 2, KANNAPOLIS 1 (BOX)

A two run rally in the fifth was all Harol Gonzalez needed to secure his sixth win, as he pitched brilliantly in a 2-1 win over Kannapolis. Gonzalez went eight innings, striking out nine, and allowing only one run on a home run in the fourth. Adonis Uceta recorded the save, working around a single. Jay Jabs drove in the tying run and Arnaldo Berrios drove in the winning run.

SS-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (7-20)

STATEN ISLAND 5, BROOKLYN 3 (BOX)

The Cyclones’s struggles continued, as they trailed the whole game and lost 5-3. Jake Simon had a rough start, walking four and allowing five runs in 1.1 innings, taking his third loss of the season. The bullpen provided 7.2 clean innings, but the offense couldn’t put out enough to close the gap. Edgardo Fermin had the only RBI for the Cylones.

Rookie: Kingsport Mets (10-13)

KINGSPORT 9, JOHNSON CITY 2 (BOX)

Kingsport overcame some sloppy with an offensive outburst, slugging a pair of home runs en route to a 9-2 win. The Mets made four errors, but Wagner Lagrange and Dionis Paulino both went deep. Ezequiel Zabaleta tossed seven innings and allowed a pair of runs, one unearned, while striking out two.
