In the fifth installment of our trade-themed Mind Boggler series, we’re asking you to name every long-tenured player the Mets traded for in the 2000s. Specifically, that refers to the decade lasting from 2000 to 20009 (as opposed to every year since 2000). You can find the first four installments of the series here, here, here, and here.

Players that the Mets traded for in the decade of the 2000s (min. 1,000 PA for position players, 250 IP for pitchers)

To qualify for this list, players needed at least 1,000 plate appearances or 250 innings pitched with the Mets. That playing time could have occurred over multiple stints with the team, and not immediately following any specific trade listed here.

For example, the Mets acquired one player on this list as a minor leaguer, traded him before he made a big league appearance, and then reacquired him at a future date. Although his playing time with the Mets came entirely in his second stint with the organization, he fits the criteria and is therefore listed here.

You’ll have three minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
