Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (41-69)

NO GAME (SCHEDULE)

ROSTER ALERT: New York Mets sent LHP Josh Edgin outright to Las Vegas 51s.

Double-A - Binghamton Rumble Ponies (60-45)

POSTPONED (RAIN)

Wednesday’s game between the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and Trenton Thunder was postponed due to rain and is scheduled to be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, August 3.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (15-24/48-59)

NO GAME (SCHEDULE)

ROSTER ALERT: St. Lucie Mets sent RHP Mike Gibbons on a rehab assignment to GCL Mets.

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (16-22/56-50)

CHARLESTON 4, COLUMBIA 3 / 10 INNINGS (Box)

It took extras, but the RiverDogs walked off the Colaflies for the second time in three nights last night, this time by the score of 4-3. Justin Brantley pitched in and out of trouble over the first three innings, before Charleston finally got to him with three runs in the bottom of the fourth. The ‘Flies answered right back with three in the top of the fifth, with the tying run scoring on an Andres Gimenez suicide squeeze. The game remained knotted at three from there, with the preponderance of the chances squandered by Charleston (who left 18 men on base on the night to Columbia’s six), until Keaton Aldridge allowed three hits, including the game-winner to Isiah Gilliam.

Short-A - Brooklyn Cyclones (14-28)

BROOKLYN 6, TRI-CITY 3 (Box)

The Cyclones rode the arm of Darwin Ramos and the legs of just about everyone to an early lead, then held off a late Tri-City rally for the 6-3 victory. Walter Rasquin started things off with a single in the bottom of the first and promptly stole second and third. Jose Miguel Medina singled him home and proceeded to steal second and score on a Quinn Brodey single and… you get the idea. The larceny continued in the second inning, as Rasqin stole his third base of the game on a double steal allowing Edgardo Fermin to steal home. In total, the Cyclones recorded eight steals in 10 attempts in the game. The ValleyCats scored one in the eighth and two in the ninth to make things a bit interesting before the Cyclones closed the deal.

Rookie - Kingsport Mets (15-24)

NO GAME (SCHEDULE)

Rookie - GCL Mets (9-20)

GCL CARDINALS 7, GCL METS 2 (Box)

A solid start from Ryan McAuliffe and a two-run triple from Luis Montero were the sole bright spots, as the GCL Mets fell to the GCL Cardinals 7-2. A fielding error by Gregory Guerrero opened the doors for two runs in the third inning for the Cardinals. After Montero tied the game up in the top of the sixth, the Met bullpen surrendered one run in the bottom of the frame, three in the seventh and one more in the eighth to put the game out of reach.

ROSTER ALERT: Miguel Gutierrez assigned to GCL Mets from St. Lucie Mets.
