With a 14-8 record, Jacob deGrom is just one win short of the first 15-win season of his career. For this week’s Mind Boggler, we’re asking you to name every pitcher in Mets history to win at least 15 games in a season.

Every Mets pitcher to win at least 15 games in a season

Mets pitchers have accomplished the feat 45 times in the team’s 56-year history. While that may seem like a big number, you’ll only have to guess 22 names due to the fact that several Mets pitchers reached the 15-win plateau more than once.

Pitcher wins are no longer considered as reliable a metric as they used to be, and for good reason. Factors beyond a pitcher’s control—run support and bullpen performance, for example—can have a huge impact on his win-loss record. That said, the win stat does have historical value to the sport, and is at least a decent indicator of how well a pitcher’s team performs when he is on the mound.

You’ll have four minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
