CONNECTICUT 4, BROOKLYN 3 / 10 (Box)

The speedy Walter Rasquin led the game off with a single, and was able to advance to second on a throwing error, immediately getting into scoring position and putting pressure on Tigers pitcher Ken Figueroa. After moving to third on a Dylan Snypes groundout, he scored when Wagner Lagrange hit a sac fly into left that was far enough for him to tag up on. Jose Medina and Javier Vasquez followed with back-to-back singles, putting men on the corners and keeping up the pressure, but Scott Manea grounded out softly to third to end the inning. The Tigers plated a run in the third, fourth, and sixth, giving them the lead, but a feisty Brooklyn scored a run in the seventh and eighth to tie things up at 3-3. In the seventh, Rasquin singled home Franklin Correa, and in the eighth, Wagner Lagrange tripled and was driven in by Jose Medina. The game stayed tied, and into extras it went. In the bottom of the tenth, Andres Sthormes singled and Cole Peterson doubled, putting runners on the corners. Cannon Chadwick replaced Joe Napolitano, but he was unable to prevent Connecticut from walking off, as Garrett McCain hit a line drive into right to end the ballgame.
