Mets announce 2019 promotional schedule

The team will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the ‘69 Mets from June 28-30

The New York Mets announced their 2019 promotional schedule earlier today, which includes the return of Free Shirt Fridays, two fireworks nights, and a weekend dedicated to the 1969 team.

The Mets will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the World Champion ‘69 team from June 28-30 against the Atlanta Braves. All fans in attendance on Friday night will receive a replica jersey, with the first 15,000 fans on Saturday receiving a pennant and the first 15,000 fans on Sunday receiving a replica ring. Saturday afternoon’s festivities will include a pregame ceremony, with first pitch scheduled for 4:10pm.

In addition to a 2019 magnetic schedule on Opening Day, opening weekend will include a Todd Frazier WWE Day bobblehead on Saturday and a Jacob deGrom bobblehead on Sunday. Both bobbleheads will be given to the first 25,000 fans through the gate. Other highlights include a to-be-determined player gnome promotion on Saturday, June 8, a replica jersey giveaway on Friday, July 26, and a “Mr. Met on the Moon” bobblehead on Saturday, July 27. The club will close out its home schedule on Sunday, September 29, with all fans receiving a 2020 magnetic schedule.

McDonald’s Family Sundays are also back in 2019, with includes pre-game activities outside the main gate at Citi Field and the post-game Mr. Met Dash presented by Northwell Health, where kids can run the bases following the conclusion of that afternoon’s game. Single-game tickets to all upcoming 2019 Mets home games will be available to the general public beginning this Friday, November 16 at 10:00am ET. The team will begin their season with a six-game road trip against the Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins before opening their home season on Thursday, April 4 against the Nationals.
