The ninth installment of our streak-themed Mind Boggler series puts the spotlight on Mets closers. Specifically, we’re asking you to name every Mets pitcher to save at least 12 straight games without blowing one.
Every pitcher in Mets history to successfully convert at least 12 consecutive save opportunities
The first eight parts of the series covered wins, home runs, scoreless starts, times on base, scoreless relief appearances, RBIs, walkless starts, and runs scored. As always, you need only type in a player’s last name to get credit for the answer, and keep in mind that many of these streaks carried over into multiple seasons.
You’ll have three minutes for this quiz. That gives you about 14 seconds per answer as there are 13 individual pitchers listed here. While most of them were full-time closers, a couple were fill-ins who didn’t occupy the role on a long-term basis. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
