Triple-A: Las Vegas 51s (2-6)

LAS VEGAS 10, ALBUQUERQUE 3 (BOX)

After Wednesday night’s ghastly 17-11 defeat, the 51s were able to radiate victory against the Isotopes behind six strong innings from Chris Flexen. Zach Borenstein and Ty Kelly each smacked two-run home runs as Vegas snapped their 5-game losing streak.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (3-3)

NO GAME (SCHEDULED DAY OFF)

The Ponies begin a seven-game road trip tonight in Portland with the probable starter TBD.

ROSTER ALERT: LHP David Roseboom assigned to Binghamton Rumble Ponies from Las Vegas 51s.

Advanced-A: St. Lucie Mets (4-4)

ST. LUCIE 8, TAMPA 4 (BOX)

The Mets erased a 4-2 deficit with a four-run 5th inning to take a lead they would never surrender in downing the Tarpons 8-4 last night. Josh Prevost took the victory, allowing three earned runs over five innings, and the offense was paced by Jacob Zanon’s three hits. Andres Gimenez also added two more hits, raising the 19-year old’s slash line to .321/.394/.536 over his first eight FSL games.

Low-A: Columbia Fireflies (5-3)

COLUMBIA 7, ASHEVILLE 5 F/10 (BOX)

Despite blowing an early 5-0 lead, the Colaflies summoned victory as Edgardo Fermin’s RBI double in the top of the 10th would prove to be the game-winning hit. Stephen Villines threw three hitless innings for the victory, and starter Joe Cavallaro was excellent in his seven innings of work despite a Jeremy Vasquez throwing error accounting for four unearned runs.
