Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (3-6)

LAS VEGAS 7, EL PASO 1 (BOX)

The 51s picked up just their third victory of the season on Friday night. Corey Oswalt pitched for Las Vegas and went five innings without giving up any runs. Ty Kelly continued his hot streak, going 2-5 while driving in two runs. The bullpen on Friday night was solid for the 51s as they combined for four innings and only allowed one run on one hit.

ROSTER ALERT: New York Mets selected the contract of C Jose Lobaton from Las Vegas 51s. New York Mets optioned RHP Jacob Rhame to Las Vegas 51s. RHP Corey Taylor assigned to Las Vegas 51s from Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Las Vegas 51s placed RHP A.J. Griffin on the temporarily inactive list. Las Vegas 51s activated 1B Matt Oberste from the 7-day disabled list. New York Mets recalled CF Brandon Nimmo from Las Vegas 51s.

Double-A - Binghamton Rumble Ponies (3-4)

PORTLAND 4, BINGHAMTON 2 (BOX)

The Rumble Ponies fell to the Portland Sea Dogs 4-2 on Friday night. They faced Red Sox pitcher Drew Pomeranz who is with Portland on a rehab assignment. Andrew Church had a rough outing for the Rumble Ponies pitching just four innings and giving up four runs on seven hits. Peter Alonso continued his hot start to the season, hitting a two-run home run in the top of the third inning. Gerson Bautista also had two solid innings out of the bullpen, allowing only one hit while striking out three.

ROSTER ALERT: Binghamton Rumble Ponies activated 2B Nick Sergakis from the 7-day disabled list. Binghamton Rumble Ponies activated RHP Joshua Torres from the 7-day disabled list. Binghamton Rumble Ponies activated 3B Jeff McNeil from the 7-day disabled list. 2B J.J. Franco assigned to Brooklyn Cyclones from Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

Advanced-A - Port St. Lucie Mets (5-4)

ST. LUCIE 2, DUNEDIN 1 (BOX)

The Port St. Lucie Mets were able to pick up the win on Friday night behind six strong innings from Gabriel Llanes. The offense for the Mets all came in the fifth inning as Gene Cone singled a run home to tie the game at 1-1, before Jacob Zanon had what would be the game winning sacrifice fly, scoring Ian Storm.

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (5-4)

ASHEVILLE 5, COLUMBIA 1 (BOX)

Columbia’s defense was shaky on Friday night, committing three errors which led to two unearned runs scoring. Jake Simon started for the Fireflies and went five innings giving up four runs (two earned) while striking out seven batters. Offense was hard to come by for the Fireflies as they only had one run on six hits. Jeremy Vasquez drove in the Fireflies’ only run in the sixth inning, a single which scored Raphael Gladu.
