The New York Mets and Atlanta Braves were rained out earlier today. The game will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on Memorial Day, May 28. The first game will begin at 1:10pm EDT with the second game starting at 7:10pm EDT.

Zack Wheeler and Mike Foltynewicz were originally supposed to start the Sunday matinee in Atlanta. The Mets have a regularly scheduled off-day on Monday before beginning their three-game series with the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium on Tuesday.

The rainout ensures a second straight losing series for the Mets after they won their first five series of 2018, as the team dropped two of three in Atlanta. The extra off day gives the team some flexibility in terms of what it will do with its starting rotation. Steven Matz, Noah Syndergaard, and Jacob deGrom were slated to start the three games in St. Louis.
