For this week’s Mind Boggler, we’re asking you to name every Met to start his career off with a bang by homering in his major league debut.
Every Met to homer in his major league debut
No position player has made his major league debut for the Mets so far in 2018. Catcher Tomas Nido is the closest, however, having gotten only 10 plate appearances with the team last year. Unfortunately, Nido has yet to hit his first major league home run, either this year or last. Infielder Phillip Evans is in the same boat as Nido, having gone homerless in his 38 plate appearances with the Mets last year and his three with the team this year.
This is a short list, as only six players in team history have accomplished the feat. You’ll have two minutes to complete the quiz, leaving you about 20 seconds per answer. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
