Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (1-1)

LAS VEGAS 5, EL PASO 2 (Box)

Zack Wheeler made his 2018 season debut last night against the Chihuahuas. He went five innings, allowing just one earned run on three hits while striking out six. Matt den Dekker and Luis Guillorme led the charge offensively for Las Vegas. den Dekker went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and a run batted in, while Guillorme had two doubles on the night, two runs scored, and a run driven in.

Double-A - Binghamton Rumble Ponies (1-0)

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (1-1)

BRADENTON 7, ST. LUCIE 3 (Box)

The St. Lucie Mets dropped their second game of the season to the Marauders, 7-3. Josh Prevost had a rough first outing of the season, giving up five runs over five innings on nine hits. Anthony Dimino had the best day at the plate for the Mets, going 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (2-0)

COLUMBIA 7, AUGUSTA 2 (Box)

The Fireflies beat the GreenJackets for the second straight night, 7-2. Joe Cavallaro gave Columbia six strong innings, allowing just two runs while striking out eight. Joshua Payne and Darwin Ramos finished off the game, combining for three scoreless innings and allowing two hits combined. The Fireflies’ offense drew a total of eight walks on the night along with five hits. Rigoberto Terrazas had a two-run double along with a run scored.
