Triple-A: Las Vegas 51s (16-23)

LAS VEGAS 2, ALBUQUERQUE 1 (BOX)

Phillip Evans was the hero tonight, providing all the offense with a pair of solo home runs. The rest of the lineup didn’t do much, but two runs was enough for Chris Flexen and two relievers in the 2-1 win. Flexen had a great start, tossing seven scoreless and striking out five, and Drew Smith danced around trouble in the ninth to secure the save.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (18-17)

BINGHAMTON 6, ERIE 5 (BOX)

Tim Tebow had the big moment of this game, launching a three-run, game-tying home run in the bottom of the sixth to put the Rumble Ponies on track for their 18th win of the season. Tebow’s bomb bailed out a rough start from Mickey Jannis, and Peter Alonso scored the go ahead run one inning later. Alonso had another big day himself, walking twice and singling, while Jeff McNeil knocked an RBI double.

Advanced-A: St. Lucie Mets (15-19)

POSTPONED (RAIN)

Low-A: Columbia Fireflies (19-18)

DELMARVA 1, COLUMBIA 0 (BOX)

Columbia fell in a true pitching duel, wasting a great start by David Peterson in a 1-0 loss. The Fireflies managed only two baserunners with singles from Jeremy Vasquez and Ali Sanchez. Peterson, meanwhile, went six scoreless inning after giving up the only run of the game in the top of the first. Stephen Villines had another strong relief outing at the back end of the loss, striking out all three batters he faced.
