Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (19-18)

ERIE 10, BINGHAMTON 3 (BOX)

Andrew Church had another rough start as the Rumble Ponies fell 10-3 to the Erie SeaWolves. Church recorded his first six outs of the game via strikeout, but he also gave up six runs in four innings on eight hits and a walk. Most of that damage came in the fifth, where he allowed three runs without recording an out. The Rumble Ponies did manage three home runs in support of Church, including Jeff McNeil’s ninth of the year, but they amounted to only three runs, and the Rumble Ponies never got particularly close to making things a game after the fifth. Adonis Uceta logged four strikeouts in a two inning relief appearance, though he was hurt by a fielding error that cost him two runs and allowed a run to score the next inning on a triple and a wild pitch.

Advanced-A: St. Lucie Mets (16-20)
