Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (17-26)

TACOMA 10, LAS VEGAS 6 (Box)

One of the interesting, notable tidbits from this game is where Dom Smith found himself tonight — right field. Smith had an outfield assist to his credit, throwing a runner out at second base. Outside of that, he struggled, leaving four men on base in a 0-3 effort. The 51s pitching was the real issue in this loss, as they were staked to leads on two separate occasions, just to give it back to the Rainers. The 51s hit former Mets farmhand Rob Whalen pretty well, tagging him for eight hits, six runs (two earned) over six innings. The Rainers bullpen would leave them hitless, however, to close out the game.

ROSTER MOVE: RHP Andrew Church assigned to Las Vegas 51s from Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

ROSTER MOVE: RHP Scott Copeland assigned to Binghamton Rumble Ponies from Las Vegas 51s.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (17-20)

FORT MYERS 2, ST. LUCIE 0 (Box) (Suspended game)

The Mets and the Miracle only got through two innings before rain forced the game to be suspended. It was an inauspicious two innings for the Mets, as just two players reached base for the Mets and Llanes had a difficult first inning, giving up both of his runs, one by way of a wild pitch. The Mets and Miracle will play a nine inning game and a seven inning game today.

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (22-19)

CHARLESTON 5, COLUMBIA 1 (Box)

Not much went right for the Fireflies in this game. Anthony Kay improved upon his last outing, but it was an inconsistent outing overall. He threw three scoreless innings before it all unraveled for him in the fourth -- his struggles were compounded by a Rigoberto Terrazas fielding error which would put two runners in scoring position for the RiverDogs. While none of his three runs were earned, he still was hit around, and threw 85 pitches (56 strikes) in just five innings. The bullpen would concede two more runs, but the RiverDogs did not need them. The Fireflies managed just one extra base hit, coming in the second inning. They scattered the rest of their hits, never really threatening the RiverDogs.

RHP Darwin Ramos: 1.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K

ROSTER MOVE: LF Jay Jabs assigned to Brooklyn Cyclones from Columbia Fireflies.

ROSTER MOVE: RF Wuilmer Becerra assigned to Columbia Fireflies.
