Final Score: Braves 7, Mets 6-More bullpen, more problems

The bullpen blew yet another win for the Mets.

MLB: New York Mets at Atlanta Braves Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Johan Camargo walked it off for the Braves to give them a 7-6 win in the ninth. Steven Matz was pitching a gem before he left in the fourth with an injury to his finger which turned the game. The already gassed bullpen was asked to do too much and it cost them.

Paul Sewald was stung for two runs in relief of Matz, although one run scored on a passed ball by Devin Mesoraco. Jerry Blevins was tagged for a run with two outs in the seventh and then Jacob Rhame melted down in the eighth and gave up a game-tying triple to Ender Inciarte. That left it up to Gerson Bautista to keep the game tied in the ninth but this gave never made it to extras when Camargo stepped to the plate.

The offense was again fine with Brandon Nimmo and Asdrubal Cabrera having big nights at the plate but again none of that mattered with an overtaxed bullpen.

Full recap to follow.
