Last week, we asked you to name every Met to homer in his major league debut. For this week’s Mind Boggler, we’re looking at the pitching side of things and asking you to name every Met to strike out at least seven batters in his first major league appearance.
Every Met to strike out at least seven batters in his major league debut
Only two Met pitchers have made their big league debuts so far in 2018, and both came in relief: Gerson Bautista pitched a shutout inning in a 5-2 Mets loss to the Nationals on April 17, while fellow right-hander Corey Oswalt pitched 4.2 innings of two-run ball in a blowout loss to the Cardinals about a week later on April 25. Tonight, however, P.J. Conlon looks to join this list as he makes his major league debut in Cincinnati.
You’ll have three minutes for the quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
