We’re wrapping up our series on uniform numbers by asking you to name every long-tenured to wear numbers 40 and above. You can find the first four installments of the series at the following links, which cover numbers 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, and 30-39.

Every long-tenured Met to wear numbers 40 and above

This list includes pitchers—both starters and relievers—almost exclusively, so that’s where you should try to focus. In order to qualify, position players need to have played at least 400 games for the Mets, while pitchers need either 100 as starters or 200 as relievers. Furthermore, players need to have met those benchmarks while wearing the uniform number identified here. Finally, players are listed alongside their primary position, which is the one at which they played the most games with the Mets while wearing the uniform number associated with them.

You’ll have five minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
