Open thread: 2018 MLB Draft day 2

It’s time for rounds 3-10. Chat about what the Mets do here!

After 78 picks through two rounds on Monday, Day 2 of the 2018 MLB Draft brings us rounds three through 10, with 236 picks being made today.

The Mets had the 6th and 48th overall picks in the draft last night, and selected outfielder Jarred Kelenic and right-handed pitcher Simeon Woods-Richardson. Today, they will be making their third through tenth round selections, making picks at 83, 110, 140, 170, 200, 230, 260, and 290.

There were four-minute intervals between picks on Monday, but the pace of selections will increase, and now there will be just one minute between picks. The remainder of the draft will not be televised, but MLB.com will provide online coverage of the final two days, with coverage today beginning at 1 o’clock.
