Can you name every Met to strike out at least 2,000 batters in his career?

Last week’s Mind Boggler covered Mets players with at least 300 career home runs, including those hit with other teams. Today, we’re asking to name every Mets pitcher with at least 2,000 career strikeouts.

Every Mets pitcher with at least 2,000 career strikeouts

As was the case last week, many of these players were only in New York for brief periods of time. However, as long as they played in at least one official game with the Mets and compiled the requisite number of strikeouts, you’ll see them listed here.

While the 2018 Mets had two position players with 300 home runs, no current Met is close to reaching the 2,000-strikeout plateau. The pitcher closest to the mark is Jason Vargas, whose 971 career strikeouts—most of which came in Seattle and Kansas City—leave him well short.

You’ll have three minutes for this quiz. Good luck, and remember to post your time and score in the comments!
