Triple-A: Las Vegas 51s (52-56)

LAS VEGAS 10, MEMPHIS 8 (BOX)

Las Vegas rallied back from down six runs to top Memphis 10-8. Corey Oswalt was roughed up for seven runs in five innings, allowing nine hits and two home runs and departing with the Mets in a 7-1 hole. A four run fifth and a five run seventh turned that right around, however, and the bullpen allowed only one run in four runs of relief. Newly acquired Bobby Wahl struck out the side for the save, while Peter Alonso had arguably his best day in Triple-A with a 3-for-5 performance. Jose Lobaton also went 4-for-4.

ROSTER ALERT: CF Matthew den Dekker sent outright to Las Vegas 51s

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (49-57)

Low-A: Columbia Fireflies (34-33 / 15-21)

WEST VIRGINIA 6, COLUMBIA 1 (BOX)

It was a night to forget for Jake Simon in a 6-1 loss for the Fireflies. Simon lasted only three innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out only one. Nicolas Debora pitched the rest of the way and allowed only one run, but the whole was too big for a stagnant Columbia offense to climb out of. Scott Manea had the only RBI, while the bottom four hitters in the lineup went hitless in an anemic, four hit performance.

Short-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (23-20)

TRI-CITY 6, BROOKLYN 4 (BOX)

This was a close one til the end, but Brooklyn fell 6-4 to Tri-City. The ValleyCats and Cyclones traded runs for the first four innings, with both teams tied at three after four. Jose Buto kept kept that score til sixth, and Adam Hill added on a scoreless seventh. Hill didn’t fare as well in the eighth, however, as he allowed three runs, one of which was unearned. The Cyclones answered right back with an RBI double in the bottom half of the frame to cut the lead to 6-4, but that was as close as they get, stranding one runner in the bottom of the ninth.

ROSTER ALERT: RHP Jose Butto assigned to Brooklyn Cyclones from Kingsport Mets
