Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (61-63)

EL PASO 8, LAS VEGAS 2 (Box)

The 51s were unable to overcome a rocky outing from starting pitcher Drew Gagmon on Friday night. Gagnon went four innings and allowed five runs while also walking three batters. Logan Taylor also struggled in relief of Gagnon as he gave up two runs on three hits in just one inning of work. At the plate, Bryce Bentz and Patrick Kivlehan led the way for the 51s with a pair of solo home runs.

ROSTER ALERT: RHP Jacob Rhame returned to Las Vegas 51s from New York Mets.

Double-A - Binghamton Rumble Ponies (58-65)

BINGHAMTON 5, READING 3 (Box)

The Rumble Ponies beat the Fightin Phils on Friday night behind six solid innings from Franklyn Kilome. Kilome allowed two runs and struck out seven batters in his six innings of work. On offense, Joey Terdoslavich had a big night going 2-4 with a home run and two runs batted in. Andrew Ely also found himself on base three times in the game and was able to score two runs.

ROSTER ALERT: New York Mets selected the contract of LHP Daniel Zamora from Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

Advanced-A - Port St. Lucie Mets (50-70)

ST LUCIE 2, DUNEDIN 1 (Box)

The St. Lucie Mets came out on the winning end of a pitchers duel on Friday night. David Peterson started for St, Lucie and pitched five shutout innings while striking out five batters. Gene Cone provided all the offense the Mets would need with a two-run double in the top of the second inning. After the Blue Jays were able to get one run back in the bottom of the sixth, Thomas McIlraith and Matt Pobereyko were able to secure the win for the Mets. Jay Bruce, who is on a rehab assignment with the team, went 0-3 with two strikeouts.

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (55-63)

Rookie: Kingsport Mets (28-27)

PULASKI 8, KINGSPORT 1 (Box)

Not much went well for the Kingsport Mets on Friday night as Pulaski put up eight runs in eight innings against them. Oscar Rojas started for the Mets and went four innings, allowing three runs. Marbin Montijo struggled the most for Kingsport as he was unable to record an out in his relief appearance and allowed three runs. At the plate, Guillermo Granadillo went 2-4 with a solo home run to score Kingsport’s only run of the night.

Rookie: GCL Mets (23-27)

GCL METS 7, GCL ASTROS 5 (Box)

The Gulf Coast League Mets were able to beat the Astros on Friday night thanks to a lineup which saw each player collect at least one hit. Stanley Consuegra led the way, going 2-4 with a double and three runs batted in, a run scored, and a stolen base. Jose Peroza, Ian Storm, and Wilmer Reyes also had two hits to lead the way for the Mets. On the mound, Hector Rodriguez got the start and went three innings and allowed three runs. In relief, Boris Sanchez was able to secure the win for the Mets, going 2.1 scoreless innings.
