Meet the Mets

Tim Tebow, Peter Alonso, and Andres Gimenez are just some of the prospects invited to big league camp this spring.

According to MLB Pipeline, Alonso is the top first base prospect in all of baseball.

Despite signing Jed Lowrie, the Mets are not looking to move Todd Frazier.

The Mets officially announced their new WCBS radio team of Howie Rose and Wayne Randazzo.

Doc Gooden took to Reddit to answer fans’ questions and he still believes in Noah Syndergaard’s dominance. He also said that the Mets’ current hitting coach was one of the toughest hitters he ever faced.

Even though Chili Davis has been an unpopular hire considering how his time in Chicago ended, the blame might not totally rest on his shoulders for the Cubs’ struggles.

The front office brought in quite a few new faces and they are determined to change the culture around the organization (paywall alert).

Around the National League East

Aaron Sele is leaving his position with the Marlins as a special assignment scout.

While the Phillies continue to wait for Manny Machado and Bryce Harper, they could look to upgrade their backup catcher. No matter who they sign this offseason, they are expected to make a push for Mike Trout when he becomes a free agent in 2021.

Brian Dozier is happy he signed with the Nationals since the ball seems to carry when you hit it to left.

Around Major League Baseball

Major League Baseball has been very concerned with the shift, but batters seem to be making their own adjustments to beat the shift.

The Yankees signed reliever Adam Ottavino to a three-year deal worth $27 million.

The Angels have reportedly signed reliever Cody Allen to be their closer.

While some believe that Tony Clark should compromise with the league, it would be better for the players if he stood up for them.

Fangraphs continued their series of fixing the arbitration system and they offered some possible solutions.

Cubs’ owner Tom Ricketts believes keeping domestic abuser Addison Russell on the roster was for the best.

Yesterday at Amazin’ Avenue

Luis Santana came in at number thirteen on Steve Sypa’s prospect list.

Vasilis Drimalitis wrote about the Mets new radio duo.
