The Mets announced that they’ve acquired outfielder Keon Broxton from the Brewers, and they’ve sent pitchers Bobby Wahl and Adam Hill and infielder Felix Valerio to Milwaukee in return.

The 28-year-old Broxton is a right-handed hitter who made his major league debut with the Pirates in 2015 and spent the past three seasons with the Brewers. Thus far in his major league career, Broxton has hit .221/.313/.421 with a 91 OPS+. His best overall season at the plate came in 2016, when he hit nine home runs with a 107 OPS+. Defensively, he’s spent the vast majority of his time in the big leagues playing center field.

As for what the Mets gave up in the deal, Wahl made out list of the team’s top twenty-five prospects at #23 this year. Hill spent last season as a reliever for the Brooklyn Cyclones after the Mets drafted him in the fourth round of the 2018 amateur draft. Valerio spent last year playing second base for the Mets in the Dominican Summer League.
