The Mets hired Jeremy Hefner to be their pitching coach under manager Carlos Beltran. The 33 year-old pitched for the Mets in 2012 and ‘13.

With the Hefner hiring, the Mets are close to filling out Carlos Beltran’s coaching staff.

Marcus Stroman tweeted he had a phone conversation with Beltran, and he’s very excited to play for him in the 2020 season.
