The Royals acquired Chance Adams in a trade with the Yankees. In return, the Yankees will receive minor leaguer Cristian Perez. Adams was DFA’d to make room for Gerrit Cole.

Free agent starter Rich Hill and his spouse were arrested outside Gillette Stadium on Saturday prior to the start of the Patriots game. They were allegedly none too please with Gillette’s bag policy.

In the wake up the news that Major League Baseball took in $10.7 billion in revenue last season, Daniel Epstein encouraged readers to not let league insult them in his final piece for Beyond the Box Score.
