Well folks, you’re going to have to savor today’s game, because it is the last televised game the Mets will play until it’s the real deal on Opening Day this Thursday. They will still have one more exhibition game against the Orioles tomorrow, but this is their last home game of the spring.
The Mets lineup today is likely a preview of their Opening Day lineup, just with an added DH. Pete Alonso will serve as the DH today with Dominic Smith at first base, and both are likely to make the 25-man roster. No major-league pitcher will throw for the Mets today, however, as Tim Peterson will start the game and Sean Burnett, Arquimedes Caminero, Simeon Woods-Richardson, Casey Coleman, Zach Lee, and Zack Jones are all of the other pitchers available today.
