SB Nation FanPulse: Mets fans are high on Mickey Callaway and the direction of the Mets

Mets fans participating in FanPulse were asked whether or not they approve of the job the Mickey Callway is doing as manager, whether they’re confident in the direction of the team, and whether or not the Mets would win the World Series this year.

As for the first question, 75 percent of those polled said they approve of the job Callaway is doing as manager. Coming off a very disappointing season for the Mets in his first year as manager, that’s a pretty high rate of approval.

It’s pretty typical for fans of all teams to be optimistic just before Opening Day, but the 97 percent rate of confidence in the direction of the team is surprising, even with the active offseason the Mets had under new general manager Brodie Van Wagenen.
