Welcome to Amazin’ Avenue in Conversation, a new podcast from Amazin’ Avenue where we invite interesting people on the show to talk about themselves, the Mets, and more.

Our first guest is Ron Darling. Ron played for the Mets from 1983 to 1991, and has been one of the broadcasters for the team on SNY and WPIX since 2005. Ron has a new book out, entitled 108 Stitches: Loose Threads, Ripping Yarns, and the Darndest Characters from My Time in the Game. We spoke with Ron about his book, his broadcasting career, and a favorite food item on today’s episode.

Ron’s book is available now via Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or wherever else you get books. Tune into SNY and WPIX to hear Ron call Mets games all season long, as well as TBS on Sundays and during the postseason. Follow him on Twitter (@RonDarlingJr) and as part of the Gary, Keith, and Ron Instagram account (@garykeithron).

You can listen or subscribe to all of our wonderful Amazin’ Avenue Audio podcasts through Apple Podcasts, where we encourage you to leave a review if you enjoy the show. It really helps! And you can find us on the Stitcher app, Spotify, or listen to the embedded player below.
