Today’s game between the Mets and the Marlins has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up on August 5th as part of a single-admission double header, starting at 4:05pm. Mother’s Day is always a nice day at the ballpark, and an important day that raises a lot of money for women’s cancer research. Hopefully, those efforts will not be diminished due to today’s rain out.

The Mets are off tomorrow, before traveling to Washington for a three-game series against the Nationals. The Mets are simply pushing their rotation back two days, with today’s scheduled starter Noah Syndergaard going on Tuesday, Wilmer Font on Wednesday, and Zack Wheeler on Thursday. The Nationals have not named their probable starters for the series as of yet.

Steven Matz, who was placed on the Injured List on Thursday, retroactive to May 5, will be available to rejoin the rotation next weekend in Miami.
