Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (W/L Record)

GAME 1: COLUMBIA 2, ROME 1 / 7 (BOX)

The Fireflies won the first game of their doubleheader in walkoff fashion, topping Rome 2-1. Jose Butto was great for 5.1 innings, striking out eight and only allowing one run. A triple by Ronny Mauricio in the fifth got Butto off the hook, and Andrew Mitchell kept things knotted up at one heading to the bottom of the seventh. Chandler Avant led off with a double, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt, and scored on a walkoff single from Brian Sharp.

GAME 2: COLUMBIA 6, ROME 1 / 7 (BOX)

After coming up with the walkoff hit in game 1, Sharp led the Fireflies to another win in game 2. Sharp had a double, a home run, and three RBI, and center fielder Gerson Molina had a home run of his own. That was more than enough support for starter Alex Kisena, who struck out six over 3.2 scoreless innings. Jose Moreno gave up the lone Columbia run in his 1.1 innings of work before Tylor Megill closed things out with two clean innings.
