Double-A - Binghamton Rumble Ponies (32-25)

NO GAME (SCHEDULE)

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (35-28)

CLEARWATER 7, ST. LUCIE 2 (BOX)

St. Lucie didn’t show up on either side of the ball in a 7-2 loss to Clearwater. Tony Dibrell was shellacked for seven runs in 3.2 innings, giving up nine hits and a walk and getting hurt by an Matt Winaker error in right field. Carlos Hernadnez and Marcel Renteria did their best to pick up the slack, tossing 4.1 innings of scoreless relief, but the St. Lucie offense went a combined 1-for-9 with RISP and left nine men on base. Carlos Cortes and Jeremy Vasquez had the two RBIs for the Mets.

Low-A - Columbia Fireflies (23-37)

ASHEVILLE 2, COLUMBIA 1 / 6 (BOX)

Columbia lost a rain shortened affair to Asheville, falling 2-1 in six innings. Simeon Woods Richardson got the start and was excellent, tossing five scoreless innings and striking out eight, though he did make an error on a pickoff. The Fireflies’ offense was quiet, however, and the game went to the sixth in a scoreless tie. Bryce Hutchinson entered the game and promptly allowed two runs on three hits. Columbia had a chance to even things up in the sixth, scoring once on an RBI ground out from Shervyen Newton and putting the tying run at second, but Hayden Senger grounded out to end the sixth, and the weather prevented the game from going any further.
