Meet the Mets

Sometime after the Mets’ bullpen had put the game out of reach in the late innings, the Mets’ fan cam panned around Citi Field in search of excited fans. It eventually settled on one forlorn fan, who looked into the camera, shook his head sadly, and sighed. It was the perfect reaction to the Mets’ latest bullpen meltdown. This time the offense helped the bullpen out by blowing a major chance with the bases loaded and only one out in the 7th. It was a depressing night all-around, save for another home run off the bat of Pete Alonso.
