Amazin’ Avenue Audio (The Show), Episode 9: Aceson Vargas

New, 2 comments

Allison fills in for Brian, and we discuss the Mets’ series win over the Giants, Mickey Callaway, and new staff ace Jason Vargas.

Welcome to Amazin’ Avenue Audio (The Show), the new/old favorite from Amazin’ Avenue editors Chris McShane and Brian Salvatore. With Brian off this week, Allison McCague pinch hits, while Chris tries to check off all of Brian’s responsibilities on the show.

The show starts with the Mets’ series win over the Giants, which felt like the team’s first series win in a long time. And then we get into the most recent puzzling Mickey Callaway decisions. After the break, we delve into the ace-like performance of Jason Vargas, and there’s a Johan Santana comp thrown in there that at least kind of makes sense.

Our music recommendations this week:

Allison: The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra

Chris: You in Reverse by Built to Spill
