Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (40-42)

SYRACUSE 10, BUFFALO 4 (BOX)

Buffalo might as well be a mile high in the mountains, or in the desert, because the ball was flying out of the park. In the first inning, Rene Rivera and Travis Taijeron both belted homers. In the second, Luis Guillorme hit one. In the third, Rivera hit his second of the night. In the fifth, Bisons left fielder Billy McKinny hit one. In the ninth, Rene River hit his third of the night! It wasn’t exactly Yankees-Red Sox in London, but close enough.

ROSTER ALERT: Syracuse Mets placed CF Aaron Altherr on the 7-day injured list.

ROSTER ALERT: Syracuse Mets activated OF Rymer Liriano from the 7-day injured list.

ROSTER ALERT: New York Mets sent RHP Jeurys Familia on a rehab assignment to Syracuse Mets.

ROSTER ALERT: New York Mets sent LHP Ryan O’Rourke outright to Syracuse Mets.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (35-29/5-9)

ALTOONA 8, BINGHAMTON 5 (BOX)

Barrett Barnes got the Rumble Ponies off to a quick start with a two-run homer in the first, but Altoona cut things in half with a solo homer in the third, and then took the lead on a grand slam allowed by Austin McGeorge. Jason Krizan cleared the bases in the eighth with a double, putting Binghamton within two runs. After Arden Pabst hit a solo homer in the bottom of the inning to recoup some of that loss, Binghamton threatened in the ninth, getting two men on, but Quinn Brodey grounded out harmlessly to end the rally.

ROSTER ALERT: LHP David Roseboom assigned to Binghamton Rumble Ponies from Syracuse Mets.

Advanced-A: St. Lucie Mets (32-34/8-5)

CLEARWATER 5, ST. LUCIE 3 (BOX)

St. Lucie scored a run in the bottom of the first on a Blake Tiberi homer and doubled their score when Jeremy Vasquez plated Jacob Zanon in the sixth, but Tony Dibrell ran out of steam in the seventh and allowed a pair of runs before being taken out of the game and replaced by Ezequiel Zabaleta. Carlos Cortes gave St. Lucie the lead again in the bottom of the inning, but Zabaleta let Clearwater tie it back up in the ninth, and then proceeded to cough up the lead.

ROSTER ALERT: RHP Luc Rennie assigned to St. Lucie Mets from Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

ROSTER ALERT: St. Lucie Mets placed RHP Conner O’Neil on the 7-day injured list.

Low-A: Columbia Fireflies (24-42/5-6)

HICKORY 8, COLUMBIA 3 (BOX)

Willy Taveras gave up four runs in the top of the fourth, putting Columbia in a deep hole. Ronny Mauricio drove in a run to put the Colaflies on the board, but the Crawdads got it right back and then some in the sixth. Shervyen Newton plated a run in the bottom of the inning, but for a second time, the Crawdads immediately got it back and then some. Hayden Senger’s run in the bottom of the eighth went unanswered by Hickory in the ninth, but Columbia went down without scoring in the ninth as well.

Short-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (9-6)

LOWELL 6, BROOKLYN 4 (BOX)

Wilmer Reyes had himself an afternoon, slugging a pair of homers, but the Lowell Spinners and the bullpen duo of Frank Valentino and Justin Lasko ruined things for him, combining to allow six runs in the seventh inning, putting the Cyclones behind the eight-ball. Jake Ortega pushed a run across in the bottom of the ninth, but the Spinners cut the rally short without giving up anything else.

ROSTER ALERT: OF Jake Mangum assigned to Brooklyn Cyclones.

ROSTER ALERT: CF Antoine Duplantis assigned to Brooklyn Cyclones.

Rookie: Kingsport Mets (6-6)

JOHNSON CITY 6, KINGSPORT 2 (BOX)

Kingsport took the initial lead on a Scott Ota single in the top of the third, but after Junior Santos put two men on base, Nate Peden allowed four men to score before getting out of the inning. Kingsport scored once again in the fifth, but Johnson City had an immediate answer once again, plating runs off of Peden for a second time.

ROSTER ALERT: RHP Andres German assigned to Kingsport Mets from GCL Mets.

Rookie: GCL Mets (3-2)

GCL METS 10, GCL CARDINALS 2 (BOX)

ROSTER ALERT: St. Lucie Mets sent RHP Jordan Humphreys on a rehab assignment to GCL Mets.
