As the Mets were enjoying some of their most exciting games at home both this year and in Citi Field history, one of the sights that won the hearts of Mets fans was Dominic Smith celebrating everything on his scooter, which he’s using to keep weight off his injured foot. Despite the injury, Smith has been one of the most enthusiastic members of the team, frequently turning to the crowd and encouraging Mets fans from the Mets’ dugout.
And now Dom Smith on a scooter is on a shirt thanks to our friends over at BreakingT.
DOM SMITH ON A SCOOTER SHIRT, PLEASE

Before his injury, Smith had been a pleasant surprise this year with the bat. In 196 plate appearances, he’s hit .278/.352/.506 with 10 home runs and a 128 wRC+, by far his best showing yet in the big leagues. When exactly he might return to the field is undetermined at this point, but it’s been fun to see him enjoying himself as the Mets have won 15 of their last 17 games.
