Meet the Mets

After getting shut down by Dallas Keuchel, the Mets took the lead late only to watch it quickly evaporate in the Atlanta heat. Seth Lugo had a miserable outing and the Braves took the lead and never looked back. The Mets now have to avoid the sweep with Marcus Stroman on the mound.

Mickey Callaway went to his bullpen despite Steven Matz’s low pitch count and that decision doomed his team.

Jeff McNeil was placed on the injured list with a hamstring strain but it is mild enough where he should not miss more than ten days.

It has been a long road back to the majors for Tejada who is happy to be back with the team.

The team got some encouraging news on both Jed Lowrie and Brandon Nimmo who are getting closer to appearing in rehab games.

Beloved radio broadcaster and voice of the Mets, Howie Rose, will be inducted into the New York Baseball Hall of Fame this November.
