Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (54-55)

Rusney Castillo- in year six of his seven year, $72.5 million contract and making $11,773,142 this year- put Pawtucket on the board in the first, but Danny Espinosa put Syracuse back on top in the third on a two-run single. One inning later, Rymer Liriano drove in a pair of runs on a double. Chad De La Guerra hit a solo homer in the ninth, giving the Red Sox life, but Eric Hanhold and Jacob Rhame combined to hold them off and secure the win.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (35-29/22-23)

SYRACUSE 4, PAWTUCKET 2 (BOX)

ERIE 5, BINGHAMTON 1 (BOX)

Early on Mickey Jannis and Anthony Castro traded zeroes, but the SeaWolves tagged the knuckerballer in the fourth, plating three runs. Jason Krizan put Binghamton on the board with an RBI single in the eighth, but Erie got the run back and then some when Joshua Torres allowed two more runs in the ninth.

Short-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (26-19)

BROOKLYN 6, LOWELL 1 (BOX)

The Cyclones snapped their mini-losing streak, avoiding being swept by the Spinners. The Cyclones scored often, while Garrison Bryant and the bullpen limited Lowell to just a single run.

ROSTER ALERT: CF Anthony Dirocie assigned to Kingsport Mets from Brooklyn Cyclones.

ROSTER ALERT: OF Kennie Taylor assigned to Brooklyn Cyclones from Kingsport Mets.

Rookie: Kingsport Mets (18-23)

KINGSPORT 11, BLUEFIELD 10 / 11 (BOX)

It was a crazy ol’ back-and-forth affair down in Appalachia. The lead changed multiple times, and the game took almost four hours to finish. The Bluefield Blue Jays took the initial lead in the bottom of the first and then tied the game 7-7 in the bottom of the eighth. Neither team scored in the ninth, taking things into extra innings. In the top of the tenth, reliever Aldo Ovando uncorked a wild pitch that allowed Tanner Murphy to score, giving Kingsport an 8-7 edge. In the bottom of the inning, Hector Rodriguez allowed an RBI single, tying things up at 8-8. Not wanting to do that again, Kingsport scored three runs in the top of the eleventh, one on a Francisco Alvarez ground rule double, one on a Jaylen Palmer triple, and one on a Scott Ota sac fly. In the bottom of the inning, Hector Rodriguez did his best to screw things up, allowing a pair of runs to make it an 11-10 ballgame, but Yadiel Flores was able to mercifully put the game to bed.

Rookie: GCL Mets (18-13)

POSTPONED (RAIN)

ROSTER ALERT: Binghamton Rumble Ponies sent RHP Michael Gibbons on a rehab assignment to GCL Mets.
