Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Mets fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
With the trade deadline having passed and the Mets having gone on a 13-1 run that has put them right back into the Wild Card mix, the FanPulse results this week are as optimistic as they’ve been in months.
Of the Mets fans who took part in the poll, 69% said they are confident in the direction of the team, up significantly from the 27% mark from last week. And 33% of them said they approve of Mickey Callaway’s job as manager, up from 17% last week and one of the rare times he’s been above 30% since very early in the season.
There was a question about the trade deadline, too, asking whether or not Mets fans approved of what the Mets did. And 89% of respondents said they did.

On the national level, fans across the league were asked which team looks strongest after the deadline, and while the MEts were one of the options, they and four other teams came in way, way behind the Astros in that vote.
