In the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey that wrapped up just before the playoffs got underway, Mets fans were asked about their confidence in their team. That’s something that the surveys have been tracking over the past several weeks, and despite the Mets having missed the 2020 playoffs—and finishing tied for last in the National League east—69 percent of fans who responded said they’re confident.

Under the circumstances of the past two decades, those results surely would have been different, but with Steve Cohen set to take the franchise out of the Wilpons’ hands in the very near future, it seems people were feeling a bit better about what the future holds for the Mets.
