Tomorrow afternoon, the Mets are set to have an introductory press conference for the two people in charge as the team begins a new era: owner Steve Cohen and team president Sandy Alderson. The event is set for 12:30 PM EST on Tuesday.
Whatever your preference is when it comes to watching broadcasts, you have an option tomorrow. The Mets announced that they would air the introduction on their Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube accounts, as well as on mets.com. And SNY will broadcast it on television and its Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube accounts, too.
Cohen’s purchase of the Mets became official on Friday, as he closed on buying 95 percent the team from the Wilpons’ ownership group. Cohen announced in late September that he would hire Alderson as the president of the Mets, overseeing baseball and business operations, in late September. Alderson served as the Mets’ general manager from late 2010 through the middle of 2018.
