This week, we mourn the passing of Tom Seaver and talk about the rollercoaster of events in Mets land over the past week and a half.

Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, a show by the women of Amazin’ Avenue where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.

It’s an all Mets show this week on APOTO. Kellyanne Healey and Allison McCague talk about the passing of Met legend Tom Seaver, his legacy, and what he means to this franchise and its fanbase.

Then, we cover the Brodie Van Wagenen hot mic incident and the Wilpons’ response.

We also discuss the Mets’ trade deadline moves (welcome back, Toddfather), the rollercoaster ride that has been this Yankees series, and Steve Cohen entering “exclusive negotiations” to purchase the Mets.

Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.
