The Athletic chronicled Dom Smith’s life’s journey in a lengthy profile. The article highlighted lessons Smith picked up playing baseball in Southern California and helping to establish the non-profit organization Baseball Generations.

Smith also appeared on an episode of the Cookie Club with J.D. Davis, where they talked about how good at baseball Jacob deGrom is.

Smith and Davis would both benefit greatly from the implementation of a universal DH, which Ken Rosenthal argues would benefit the entire game.

Even without a DH, the Mets offense projects to be really really good this season. Good enough to make noise in the playoffs, especially with significant contributions from deGrom.
