Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (16-39)

SYRACUSE 2, SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 1 / 10 (BOX)

Scranton took an early lead, but the king of clutch himself, Patrick Mazeika, bailed Syracuse out with a solo shot in the eighth inning to tie the game up at 1-1. Things stayed tied into extra innings, when Drew Jackson put Syracuse on top with an RBI single. Bradley Roney pitched the bottom of the tenth and handily dealt with the RailRiders, striking out the side.

ROSTER ALERT: RHP Geoff Hartlieb assigned to Syracuse Mets.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (21-35)

NEW HAMPSHIRE 7, BINGHAMTON 3 (BOX)

Ryley Gilliam didn’t really get off to a great start this season, posting a 12.86 ERA in May thanks to a handful of blow ups and limited innings pitched. It looked like he righted the ship in June, so hopefully clunkers like this one don’t become a thing for him in July.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (18-36)

HUDSON VALLEY 6, BROOKLYN 4 (BOX)

The Brooklyn bats were just never really able to get going against Jhony Brito, who allowed just a pair of runs over seven innings. Cyclone starter Cam Opp and his replacement, Colby Morris, on the other hand, got hit hard, each of them surrendering three runs in two plus innings apiece. The Cyclones mounted something of a comeback in the ninth thanks to a Jeremy Vasquez home run, but in the end those two runs would be all they would manage.

Low-A: St. Lucie Mets (30-28)

FORT MYERS 13, ST. LUCIE 5 (BOX)

Things have generally been going well for St. Lucie but last night? Nope. That’s a big ol’ nope.

ROSTER ALERT: 2B Jimmy Titus assigned to St. Lucie Mets from FCL Mets.

COMPLEX: FCL METS (5-3)

FCL METS 5, FCL ASTROS 1 (BOX)
