After the first game of the series between the Mets and Nationals was suspended in the second inning due to rain on Tuesday night, yet another Mets game has been postponed due to rain.

After resuming last nights game at 4:10pm, the second game of the doubleheader between the Mets and Nationals was scheduled to start tonight at 8:00pm after the Mets won the first game 8-7. However, with another round of summer storms barreling towards Citi Field, the tarp was put on the field before the first pitch was even thrown, and the Mets will have to wait another day to play the final two games of their series against Washington.

Tonight’s scheduled game will now be made up tomorrow as part of a single-admission doubleheader, starting at 12:10pm. Marcus Stroman, who was scheduled to pitch the second game tonight, will start the first game, while Trevor Williams will make his Mets debut and start the second game.
