Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (38-58)

ROCHESTER 3, SYRACUSE 2 (BOX)

Syracuse led for a decent amount of this loss, scoring a run in the second inning on a Cheslor Cuthbert double play. That 1-0 lead held until the fifth, when starter Josh Walker served up a two run home run. Mason Williams answered with a home run of his own — this one of the solo variety — to tie it a two apiece in the sixth. Unfortunately for the Mets, the offense ended there (much like their major league counterparts!). The offense did not score a run past that solo shot, and the bullpen matched with zeros of their own — until the ninth inning. Franklyn Kilome came in to hold the game at 2-2, but surrended a double and an RBI single to put the Mets behind 3-2. The Mets went down in order in the bottom of the ninth to preserve the loss.

A rehabbing Jose Martinez also left this game early with a shoulder injury.

ROSTER ALERT: Cody Bohanek assigned to Brooklyn Cyclones from Syracuse Mets.

ROSTER ALERT: RHP Trey Cobb assigned to Binghamton Rumble Ponies from Syracuse Mets.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (44-51)

NEW HAMPSHIRE 10, BINGHAMTON 3 (BOX)

Binghamton was out of this game early and quickly. Justin Lasko got tattooed, surrendering 10 hits and eight runs in just 2.2 innings pitched. The game was virtually decided within the first three innings. Binghamton scored on a Quinn Brodey double in the fourth, a Mark Vientos single in the sixth, and a solo homer by Carlos Rincon in the ninth, but the game was over by then.

ROSTER ALERT: C Nic Gaddis assigned to Brooklyn Cyclones from Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

ROSTER ALERT: RHP Trey Cobb assigned to Binghamton Rumble Ponies from Syracuse Mets.

ROSTER ALERT: C Jose Mena assigned to Binghamton Rumble Ponies from Brooklyn Cyclones.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (37-59)

ABERDEEN 12, BROOKLYN 5 (BOX)

The story of this game is Noah Syndergaard. He made his first rehab start in this go round, going one inning and giving up a solo shot to the first batter he saw. He sat in the mid 90s with his fastball, and reports came out during the Mets game that he is advised to stay away from throwing his breaking pitches.

Not what you wanna see, really.

The rest of this game was rough. Aberdeen scored their 12 runs off of three different pitchers. The Mets offense was not bad by any stretch, netting 10 hits and five runs, including a homer from Cody Bohanek and a double by Jaylen Palmer, plus Francisco Alvarez got on base twice. Aberdeen just had the Brooklyn staff’s numbers — including Syndergaard himself.

ROSTER ALERT: New York Mets sent RHP Noah Syndergaard on a rehab assignment to Brooklyn Cyclones.

ROSTER ALERT: Cody Bohanek assigned to Brooklyn Cyclones from Syracuse Mets.

ROSTER ALERT: C Jose Mena assigned to Binghamton Rumble Ponies from Brooklyn Cyclones.

ROSTER ALERT: Brooklyn Cyclones sent 2B Wilmer Reyes on a rehab assignment to FCL Mets.

ROSTER ALERT: Brooklyn Cyclones released 2B Jimmy Titus.

Low-A: St. Lucie Mets (50-45)

ST. LUCIE 4, DAYTONA 3 (BOX)

A win!! The only one in the entire organization!

St. Lucie won a hard fought one, with the back and forth affair starting in the first inning. Daytona scored one in the first, and Brandon McIlwain driving in a run to tie it. The score held until the fifth, when the same thing happened. Daytona scored on in the top of the frame and St. Lucie immediately, this time with a Warren Saunders RBI single.

St. Lucie bucked the trend in the eighth, scoring two runs, one on a Branden Fryman sacrifice fly anf the second on a Kevin Kendall single. Luis Moreno almost blew the game in the ninth, loading up the bases with one out. Drake Nighengale came in to try and stave off the comeback, and did just that, inducing a sacrifice fly to make it 4-3, and striking out the last batter for the win.

ROSTER ALERT: New York Mets sent RHP Stephen Nogosek on a rehab assignment to St. Lucie Mets.

COMPLEX FCL Mets: (23-16)

NO GAME (SCHEDULE)

ROSTER ALERT: Brooklyn Cyclones sent 2B Wilmer Reyes on a rehab assignment to FCL Mets.
