Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (43-67)

SYRACUSE 3, BUFFALO 2 (BOX)

A wild pitch was the difference in this one, as Syracuse had an early lead, lost it, then scampered home with the winning run in the eighth. Two rehabbing Mets played a big role; Jordan Yamamoto struck out six over three innings, while Tomas Nido went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Sean Reid-Foley also appeared, striking out two in one inning of work.

ROSTER ALERT: New York Mets sent RHP Jordan Yamamoto on a rehab assignment to Syracuse Mets.

ROSTER ALERT: New York Mets sent C Tomas Nido on a rehab assignment to Syracuse Mets.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (46-55)

PORTLAND 7, BINGHAMTON 5 (BOX)

Playing with a roster remade due to COVID issues, Binghamton built an early lead only to throw it away in the middle innings. Recently promoted Ronny Mauricio continued his hot start in Double-A with three hits to lead the offense, and the similarly promoted Bryce Montes de Oca flashed his impressive fastball with a pair of strikeouts in relief. Unfortunately, Oscar De La Cruz had a very poor start, and Alec Kisena had an even worse relief appearance that led to the loss.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (45-66)

HUDSON VALLEY 7, BROOKLYN 0 (BOX)

A platinum sombrero for Jaylen Palmer, only five hits for the team as a whole, and a bad shutout loss. Nothing more to add for this one.

Low-A: St. Lucie Mets (55-54)

LAKELAND 7, ST. LUCIE 0 (BOX)

Another bad St. Lucie loss, ho-hum. With the team largely devoid of notable prospects in the wake of the system wide roster shakeup (thanks Binghamton), the Mets were totally outmatched on both sides of the ball. As a small positive, Corey Oswalt did make a rehab appearance, tossing a scoreless inning with a strikeout.

ROSTER ALERT: New York Mets sent RHP Corey Oswalt on a rehab assignment to St. Lucie Mets.

COMPLEX: FCL METS (28-22)

FCL METS 5, FCL ASTROS 1 (BOX)
