Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (44-68)

WORCESTER 5, SYRACUSE 4 (BOX)

Syracuse got in an early hole, rallied back, lost the lead, rallied again, then blew it yet again in the late innings for a painful loss. Vance Worley’s start wasn’t great and he coughed up the initial lead, while Tom Hackimer and Franklyn Kilome were the primary culprits in the later innings. The poor pitching wasted a fine offensive day from Mark Payton, who tripled and homered out of the leadoff spot.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (46-57)

READING 2, BINGHAMTON 1 (BOX)

Squaring off with one of the few teams that has a worst record than them, the Rumble Ponies still couldn’t scratch out a win. They managed only four hits, all singles, and struck out a whopping 15 times. Bryce Montas de Oca was the lone bright spot, striking out three in a scoreless ninth as his impressive fastball velocity continues to play in Double-A...for now.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (46-67)

BROOKLYN 5, JERSEY SHORE 2 (BOX)

A bases loaded double by Tanner Murphy was all the offense the Cyclones needed today, as J.T. Ginn and two relievers held the Blue Claws to two runs. This was probably Ginn’s best start of the season as he works his way back from Tommy John, as he struck out seven and ran an impressive 13:1 GB:FB ratio. His progress will be key to keeping a thin Mets farm system from falling any further behind the rest of the league. As for the hitting prospects in the lineup, none of Francisco Alvarez, Jaylen Palmer, or Jose Peroza had a notable day.

Low-A: St. Lucie Mets (57-54)

ST. LUCIE 2, JUPITER 1 (BOX)

Robert Colina shined in a narrow win over the Jupiter Hammerheads, striking out seven while allowing only one run in a six inning gem. The performance was needed too, as the offense was largely absent; 2021 12th round pick Jack-Thomas Wold led the way with three hits and Alex Ramirez had two of his own, but the rest of the lineup was largely absent.

ROSTER ALERT: C Jose Colina assigned to St. Lucie Mets from Syracuse Mets.

Complex: FCL Mets: (30-22)

FCL METS 2, FCL CARDINALS 1 (BOX)
