I was listening to Buster Olney the other day on KC 810's Border Patrol and he was saying that Eppler was absolutely key to the Angels signing Ohtani. He said that Eppler had a great rapport with Ohtani. Anyway it was in the context that few teams will be able to afford the guy when he reaches free agency.
